Coco Community:
As Good As It Tastes
Coco Community was formed by a collection of coconut farmers who were facing uncertainty about their future after a well known “Raw” brand of coconut water was caught skirting FDA regulations and subsequently severed their contracts with the farmers they bragged about supporting.
Having found a distribution partner through Vita Coco in the US, they came to us looking to create a brand story that told the journey from crop to bottle, as well as how they stood apart in their mission to put people over profits.

We created a brand system based off of approachable illustrations, showing a family of birds that served as a metaphor for their business model, as well as pulled from the patterns in Thailand’s Ratchaburi province as a nod to where the farms were based.

To launch the brand, we filmed a short documentary for the product launch to tell the the story of the cooperative, explain the significance of the Nam Hom coconut, and show the world the care to which they grew each coconut.

The Expo Booth / Bar
Coco Community came to us looking for a bespoke structure that could double as a sampling bar. It was to serve as their debut at Expo West, a food industry trade show, with the hopes it could promote the brand at concerts,
Continuing the bird theme from our branded illustrations, we built the “nest” sampling bar.
